Banks recover 1% in personal guarantor cases; Subhash Chandra case said to involve associate companies

Banks seek personal guarantees from promoters as an added layer of protection when lending to companies. In the Subhash Chandra case, this got complicated with alleged associate companies among creditors. His office says these are not his any longer after a 2008-09 separation of family businesses.
