Indias growing use of smartphones, AI tools and social media is driving a surge in demand for digital storage, with experts warning of a “data obesity” problem as users struggle to manage ever-expanding files, photos and videos. Research firm Counterpoint estimates up to 100 million Indians could pay for cloud storage by 2030, up from around 10-15 million today.
